A bunch of randoms not worth their own post...some with photographic evidence...
Sometimes the stars align and you realize you have a hairbow that perfectly matches an outfit. Behold the polka dots:
Sometimes a Saturday at the park is just as much fun as a day at the beach:
Easter is a great excuse to play dress-up:
The best Easter gifts the girls got were some new card games - "Game Night" has now been instituted in the 3-A's house. Overheard today while playing War - "Thanks for the lay-up, mom." I think I've been letting J have too much influence.
Today during a playdate, I found Big A in her room, in a sleeping bag on the floor flipping through an American Girl catalog. Note to self: More kiddy downtime needed.
Little A's teacher told me today that she has a very healthy appetite. She said she takes an hour to eat her lunch. The other kids move on to their naps, while Little A sits by the light of blinds finishing up. Keep in mind that a typical lunch might be a half cup of macaroni and cheese and a piece of fruit. Girl likes to savor her food.
Today I went into my baby doctor's office to request a transfer of records to an office more convenient to my workplace. It was a little jarring to be back in the place where my babies were tended to, measured, poked and prodded. It brought back some memories. Like the time that they made me wait for an hour for a pregnancy check-up with Little A. When I finally got to see the doctor, I was so worked up and angry. The doctor placed her hand on my giant belly and Little A WHAPPED her with some kicks. Hee. That's my girl. But back to moving on...am I really now at the mammogram stage instead of the baby-growing stage? That's kind of sad.
On the other hand, it is SO much fun now to make plans for the summer. As the girls get older, we can do more and more without worrying as much about all the paraphernalia that goes with babies. That's really nice.
So there you go. My past week in 60 seconds.
